PfP would like to welcome our new Program Director in Palestine, Esperanza Shanan.  Esperanza grew up in Kobar, a village in the Ramallah district and currently lives in Ramallah.  She is fluent in Arabic, English, Spanish and Bulgarian.  She is an experienced physical therapist and community organizer.  She has an extensive history working to empower children and families in Palestine.  In particular, she has worked to advance access for children with special needs.  We are very grateful to have her on our team and hope you will join us in welcoming her when she visits us in March for our annual fundraiser in Philadelphia.  Esperanza is pictured below (white t-shirt) at a recent workshop she conducted for children in Lajee.  Topics included environmental responsibility, recycling, team building, and leadership.
